Psychological Evaluation & Personality Assessment for Adults

Virtual diagnostic testing available across California.

It’s time you get an answer for why you are the way you are.

You’ve been trying to figure yourself out for a long time.

Maybe you've been in therapy before. Maybe more than once. You've done the work (or have genuinely tried to), but something never fully clicked.

The explanations have felt incomplete. The diagnoses haven’t quite fit. You’ve walked away with coping strategies but not with real answers.

Maybe you just know something is off: In the way you relate to people, in the way your emotions move through you, in the way your mind works.

You're tired of not having language for it. Tired of therapists who haven’t quite known what to do with you. Tired of feeling like you're too complicated for a straightforward answer.

Maybe you've recently come through something significant, like a mental health episode, a relationship rupture, or a discharge from a higher level of care, and you're ready to understand yourself more deeply before you take the next step.

Maybe someone in your life has asked you to get an assessment. Or maybe you made that decision yourself, because you hurt someone you love and you never want that to happen again.

Whatever brought you here, you're ready for real answers. Not a simplified version, but a whole and complete picture.

What a psychological evaluation actually gives you:

A comprehensive psychological evaluation is not a checklist. It is not a label. It is a complete, individualized portrait of how you work. This includes your: cognitive patterns, emotional landscape, personality structure, relational tendencies, and the ways your history has shaped all of it.

A good evaluation doesn't just tell you what's going on. It tells you why, and gives you and your treatment providers a clear, concrete roadmap for what comes next.

For people with complex presentations (i.e., layered histories, multiple areas of concern, patterns that haven't responded to standard treatment), a thorough evaluation can be genuinely life-changing. Not because it gives you a new label to carry. But because it finally gives you a framework that actually fits and offers a pathway forward.

Who I work with:

My evaluation clients are adults throughout California who come to me from a range of starting points:

Some have just discharged from a residential or inpatient program and want a thorough picture of themselves before beginning the next phase of treatment.

Some are referred to me by a therapist or psychiatrist who recognizes that something more comprehensive is needed to move forward effectively.

Some have just gone off psychotropic medication and want to understand what's actually going on beneath the surface, rather than just what the medication has been managing.

And some simply know something is off. They can't fully name it yet. But they're done living inside the question mark, and they're ready to find out.

What my clients share is this: they are intelligent, self-aware enough to know they need answers, and done being misunderstood, both by others and by themselves.

What my evaluations include:

Every evaluation begins with an in-depth clinical interview, because no battery of tests replaces a real conversation with someone who knows how to listen and what to listen for.

From there, I select a carefully individualized battery of validated psychological instruments based on the specific questions we're trying to answer. These may include assessments of personality structure and pathology, mood and anxiety, trauma history and impact, attention and cognitive functioning, or psychotic or unusual thought processes, depending on what is clinically indicated.

The evaluation concludes with a comprehensive written report, which includes: a narrative that actually makes sense of your history and patterns, a summary of test findings, clear diagnostic impressions, and concrete recommendations for treatment and next steps.

Assessments I may use include the: PAI, MCMI-IV, TSI-2, TAT, WAIS-5, WASI-II, RBANS, CAARS-2, MOXO, PHQ-9, GAD-7, and MDQ, among others, selected specifically for your clinical presentation.

You don’t have to keep not knowing.

If you’re ready for a clearer picture of who you are and how your mind works, I’d love to talk.
